Aldo Cervantes has a diverse work experience in the field of community development and planning. Aldo began their career as a Planning Intern at the City of Montebello in 2000 and continued to work there until 2003. Following that, they worked as a Planning Intern at City of Cerritos City Hall from 2003 to 2004. In the same year, they joined RBF Consulting, a Company of Michael Baker International, as a Planner. Aldo then moved on to the City of San Marino, where they held the positions of Director of Planning and Building from 2004 to 2020, and Community Development Director from 2020 to 2021. Currently, Aldo Cervantes works as the Community Development Director at the City of San Gabriel since 2021.
Aldo Cervantes completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 1998 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Urban Studies/Affairs from California State University, Fullerton between 2005 and 2009.
