Huw McDonald

Huw McDonald has a diverse work experience. Huw began their career at City Year, where they held various roles over the years. Huw started as a Program Manager from 2005 to 2007. Huw then moved up to become the External Affairs Director from 2011 to 2014. In this role, they built relationships with donors, government officials, and media representatives, and also managed the organization's communication and brand needs. Huw then transitioned into the role of Regional Recruitment Director from 2014 to 2017, where they trained and led a team of recruiters and oversaw the recruitment plan at multiple colleges. Huw ultimately became the Vice President, Corps Talent Acquisition in 2017, where they directed high-volume recruiting strategies and utilized data analytics for process optimization. Prior to their time at City Year, Huw worked as a Business Development Representative at Brandhouse Beverages from 2007 to 2008.

Huw McDonald attended the University of the Witwatersrand from 2000 to 2001, where they studied psychology and English Literature.
