Prerak Sanghvi

Prerak Sanghvi has a wealth of experience in the technology industry. Prerak is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Clear Street since May 2022. Prior to that, Prerak was the Chief Technology Officer at Proof Trading from June 2019 to May 2022. During their time at Proof Trading, they built a low-latency sell-side technology platform from scratch in the public cloud.

Before joining Proof Trading, Prerak held roles at various companies. Prerak worked at IEX Group, Inc. from November 2018 to May 2019 as the Head of Ventures Technology, and from July 2013 to November 2018 as a Lead Software Engineer. Prerak also served as the Managing Director and Global Head of Electronic Trading Technology at RBC Capital Markets from December 2011 to July 2013, and as the Director and Global Head of Algorithmic and Program Trading Technology from September 2009 to December 2011.

Prerak'scareer began at Banc of America Securities as a Software Developer from September 2005 to August 2008. Prerak then worked at Myrias LLC as a Managing Partner from August 2008 to September 2009. Prior to that, they were a Software Developer at Epic Systems Corporation from March 2002 to September 2005, and a Programmer at Cymfony, Inc. from May 2001 to March 2002.

Prerak Sanghvi holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo, which they obtained from 2000 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Prerak has also obtained several certifications in the field of securities trading from FINRA, including the Series 24 - General Securities Principal, Series 57 - Securities Trader Representative, Series 63 - Uniform Securities Agent, and Series 7 - General Securities Representative certifications.
