Laís Rio

Laís Rio is currently a Student Assistant at Climate-KIC, a community of systems innovation practitioners. Prior to this role, Laís was an Environmental & Regulatory Student Trainee at ExxonMobil where Laís supported activities related to compliance with Brazilian environmental regulations. Laís also co-founded CO2Nature, a startup aimed at connecting clients with forestry projects for offsetting emissions. Laís has a background in geology, having interned at ANP and worked as a Research Assistant at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, Laís was a Fellow at Youth Climate Leaders, accelerating their career in climate change projects. Laís is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Climate Change at the University of Copenhagen.
