Jim Tanner

Jim Tanner is the Vice President of Engineering at Cognosos, a position they have held for just over a year. Prior to that, they were the founder of Nuke-O, a software company that developed 3D animation and rendering software. Jim also served as an advisor to Vedia.ai, a startup that uses artificial intelligence to improve online video streaming, for 11 months. In addition, Tanner has been an advisor to TubeIn, a video streaming startup, for 9 months.

Tanner began their career as a software engineer at eSoft, where they worked for 7 months before moving on to Tandberg Television as a senior engineer. Jim spent 4 years at N2 Broadband before becoming a contractor with Fundtech, now part of D+H, for 7 months. In 2007, they co-founded Clearleap, a cloud-based video platform provider, where they served as chief architect for 8 years before joining IBM Watson Media as the Chief Architect of their Cloud Video division in 2015. Jim remained with IBM Watson Media for 2 years and 7 months before taking their current position at Cognosos.
