Ahmed El Wessimy

Ahmed El Wessimy has a strong background in IT and risk management. Ahmed'smost recent position was as the Head of IT Risk Management at CIB Egypt, where they have been working since May 2021. Prior to that, Ahmed worked as the Lead International IT Governance at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) from December 2018 to December 2020. Before joining FAB, they served as the Head of IT Governance at Banque du Caire from March 2015 to November 2018. Ahmed also gained experience in IT management and coordination at Giesecke & Devrient from January 2010 to January 2015, and as a Webmaster at Lafarge from May 2006 to February 2008. Ahmed started their career as a Web Designer at Raya Software from November 2003 to April 2006. Overall, Ahmed has demonstrated a strong expertise in IT governance, risk management, and coordination in various positions throughout their career.

Ahmed El Wessimy holds an MBA degree in Information Systems from The German University in Cairo, which they completed from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they received a Professional Certificate in Electronic Business from The American University in Cairo in 2008. Ahmed also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Management Sciences, with a specialization in Computer and Information Systems, from Sadat Academy for Management Sciences between 1999 and 2003. Additionally, they have acquired additional certifications including "The New Age of Risk Management Strategy for Business," "Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Machine Learning," and "Chief Technology Officer Career Guide" from LinkedIn in 2023.
