Coby Roscoe

Coby Roscoe has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Technical Controller at Marine Wing Communications Squadron 28, where they operated technical control equipment and maintained communication networks. In 2013, they transitioned to the role of Data System Manager, installing and supporting local area networks and monitoring web performance. In 2014, they became a Cyber Security Technician and handled security measures for computer networks. From 2015 to 2016, Coby worked as a Cyber Security Technician at the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, where they developed security plans and strategies for protecting information systems and data. In 2016, they joined Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity as an Information Systems Security Officer, ensuring the implementation of information security throughout the Department of Defense network. In 2018, they became a Cyberspace Operations Engineer at the same organization, and in 2019, they pursued a graduate degree in Applied Cyber Operations at Naval Postgraduate School. In 2020, Coby joined U.S. Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command as a Cyberspace Warfare Operator, with expertise in offensive cyberspace operations. In 2023, they participated in the Skillbridge Program at CBI, A Converge Company, as a Security Engineer, and is currently working as a Cyber Security Engineer at Converge Technology Solutions Corp.

Coby Roscoe has a diverse and comprehensive education history. In 2007, they began their higher education journey at Dallas College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in 2013.

Building upon their associate degree, Coby enrolled at Angelo State University in 2014 and pursued a Bachelor of Security Studies, specializing in Intelligence, Security Studies, and Analysis. Coby successfully completed their bachelor's degree in 2018. During their time at Angelo State University, Coby also achieved a Certificate of Cyber Security in 2015.

In 2019, Coby decided to expand their expertise in the field of cybersecurity and enrolled at the Naval Postgraduate School. Coby completed a Master's of Science degree in Applied Cyber Operations in 2020. Simultaneously, they also obtained a Certificate of Cyber Operations Infrastructure from the same institution during the same period.

Continuing their educational journey, Coby is currently pursuing a Doctor of Science degree in Computer Science at Colorado Technical University. Coby began their doctoral program in 2020 and is expected to complete it in 2023.

Apart from formal degrees, Coby Roscoe holds numerous certifications that demonstrate their commitment to continuous professional development. These include certifications from CompTIA, such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Linux+, and CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+). Coby also completed various courses and certifications related to Lean Six Sigma, Red Team Operations, and information technology research and management.
