MD, Development at COOP Careers

Markus Ward is currently the MD of Development at COOP. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Operations & Development at Workforce Professionals Training Institute (WPTI) from March 2016 to July 2018. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of WPTI’s programs and services.

From July 2018 to June 2019, Markus was the Director at CCS Fundraising. In this role, they completed a feasibility study for the leading Midwest Music Conservatory, where they tested a potential $75 million fundraising campaign to launch the Institute’s new strategic plan. Markus also completed a feasibility study, development assessment, and campaign case development project for one of the largest Community College Foundations in the country focused on achieving their 5-year strategic goal to enhance their workforce development programs.

Markus has a wealth of experience in fundraising and nonprofit management, and is dedicated to helping organizations achieve their goals.

Markus Ward has a Master's Degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from New School University. Markus also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from Michigan State University. Lastly, they have a degree in Liberal Arts, Art Theirtory, and Spanish from CEA Barcelona, Spain.
