Eric Nelson

Eric Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Eric worked at Cradlepoint as a Senior Software Engineer from July 2014 and then became a Principal Engineer in August 2020. Prior to Cradlepoint, Eric worked at SAP as a Mobile Secure Software Architect and later as a Senior Development Engineer. At SAP, they focused on enhancing the security and value of the mobile product line, conducting prototyping and researching various technologies. Before SAP, Eric worked at Sybase as a Senior Development Engineer, where they developed a secure groupware application for iOS and worked on the Sybase Unwired Platform. Eric also designed and implemented a reverse HTTP proxy server at Sybase. Eric's earlier experience includes working at Extended Systems as a Senior Development Engineer, where they researched and developed prototypes for new technologies, including the world's first embedded PPTP VPN server. Eric also developed embedded networking print servers and gained extensive knowledge of networking protocols. Eric has multiple patents related to their work and is skilled in areas such as secure messaging, storage, web technologies, and network protocols.

Eric Nelson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Idaho, where they attended from 1987 to 1990. Eric then pursued higher education, attending the National Technological University from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Software Engineering.
