Shawn Tol

Shawn Tol has over 20 years of experience in the field of information technology. Shawn began their career in 2000 as a Citrix & Microsoft Systems Administrator at First National Bank, where they managed a Windows network environment and supervised the Help Desk staff. From 2002 to 2004, they served as a Network Manager at Homeshield, overseeing a Windows server-based network supporting 300 users and leading an office move and network build-out. At Dynamex, from 2004 to 2006, Shawn was the Regional IS Manager, responsible for managing information systems across seven facilities and driving efforts to become SOX compliant. Shawn joined US BioEnergy in 2006 as a Systems Engineer, where they played a key role in creating a cutting-edge Citrix environment and implementing technology projects. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Production Support Supervisor at Bremer, leading a team to ensure operational stability and positioning the company for future growth. Shawn then joined Carlson Companies as a Wintel Level III Administrator from 2010 to 2011. Shawn worked at Target as a Systems Engineer from 2011 to 2013, focusing on the Foundations Team. Shawn joined The Sportsman's Guide in 2013 as an Infrastructure Manager, leading a team of engineers and providing vision and guidance for system growth and development. Shawn briefly worked at Total Visibility, LLC in 2016 as an IT Support and Operations Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Information Technology at CURiO Brands.

Shawn Tol has a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems from Concordia University-St. Paul, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Mitchell Technical Institute from 1996 to 1998 and earned an Associate's Degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology. In addition to their educational qualifications, Shawn has obtained several certifications including Certified Novell Engineer (Netware 5) from Novell, Citrix Certified Administrator from Citrix, ITIL Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer from Microsoft, and VMWare certified professional from VMware.
