Lee Anne McLean

Lee Anne McLean has extensive work experience in the field of clinical science and oncology research. Lee Anne is currently a Senior Director, Asset Lead Early Oncology, Clinical Science at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., where they are responsible for overseeing a pivotal Phase III antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) oncology trial. Lee Anne has served as a study team lead and clinical scientist for this trial, contributing to study strategy, planning, execution, and reporting outputs. Lee Anne has also provided training to internal and external staff and site personnel.

Prior to their current role, Lee Anne McLean worked at Merck as an Associate Principle Scientist, Clinical Research. In this role, they served as the lead clinical scientist on a global Phase III immuno-oncology trial and was responsible for coordinating all clinical science activities and acting as the primary contact for clinical questions. Lee Anne also led medical monitoring activities and identified safety signals and trends that required additional follow-up.

Before joining Merck, Lee Anne McLean worked as a Senior Clinical Scientist at ExecuPharm on assignment to Merck. Their responsibilities included providing medical monitoring support on Phase II and III immuno-oncology trials and ensuring the collection of optimal biomarker samples.

Lee Anne McLean also has experience working at Novartis, where they held various roles such as Associate Director, Correlative Sciences/Oncology Clinical Development and Associate Director, Discovery and Investigative Safety. In these roles, they contributed to the development of oncology compounds, implemented safety-related biomarkers, provided biomarker and translational research input to clinical documents, and established external translational preclinical and clinical collaborations.

Lee Anne began their career as a Senior Lab Technician at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and later worked as an Industrial Hygienist at Boeing Company and Clayton Environmental Consultants.

Lee Anne McLean holds a postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Alabama, Birmingham and has worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Davis.

Lee Anne McLean received their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1986.
