Jorge Miranda

Jorge Miranda has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the tech industry. Jorge started their career as a Web Developer at Capsula Studio in 2008, where they applied concepts from their studies to benefit daily active users. In 2009, they worked as an External Consultant at WeDo Technologies for six months, gaining valuable knowledge about the technical fundamentals of the web. Later that year, they joined PDM&FC as a Software Engineer, primarily working on moonshot R&D projects, including developing a stock market-like software for telcos. In 2012, Jorge joined Rocket Internet SE as a Lead Product Owner, where they successfully built a tech team and implemented smart supply chain and delivery eco-systems in developing regions worldwide. Since 2017, they have been with Daraz, initially serving as the Chief Product Officer and currently as the Chief Data Officer. In these roles, they have been instrumental in using big data and product as strategic assets to drive innovation and bring cool, quality goods to people while supporting small businesses to scale.

Jorge Miranda completed their Licentiate degree in Information Technology from Universidade do Minho in the years 2002 to 2007. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Data Modeling/Warehousing from the same university, which they completed from 2007 to 2008.
