Clint Smith

Clint Smith is currently the SVP of Corporate Development and General Counsel at DataStax. Prior to this, they served as a Board Member for Boku, Inc. from January 2015 to May 2018 and as a Board Member for the Software Alliance from January 2015 to December 2019. From May 2009 to November 2013, they were the Vice President, General Counsel, & Corporate Secretary at TrialPay, and from January 2006 to October 2008, they were the Vice President, Legal & Corporate Secretary at MySQL. Smith began their career as a lawyer at Macromedia, Inc. in September 2003, where they served as Vice President, Legal & Corporate Secretary from September 2003 to December 2005.

Clint Smith received their B.A. from Pomona College in mass media and political behavior. Clint then attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they received their J.D. and M.A. in law and political science.

They are on a team with Harry Ault - CRO, David Waugh - SVP Market Development, and Thomas Been - Chief Marketing Officer. Clint Smith reports to Chet Kapoor, Chief Executive Officer.
