Claire Pizzey has over 10 years of professional work experience in scientific roles. Claire started their career in 2005 as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they worked in the Chemical and Biological Engineering department until 2007. In 2008, they joined Diamond Light Source as a Senior Support Scientist, a position they held until 2010. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as an Industrial Liaison Scientist at Diamond Light Source. Since 2015, Claire has been serving as the Deputy Head of Industrial Liaison at the same company.

Claire Pizzey pursued their education in the field of Chemistry at different institutions. Claire obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Bristol, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry with Study in Continental Europe at the University of Bristol from 1997 to 2001. During this period, they also spent a year studying Chemistry at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). Additionally, Claire studied Chemistry at the University of Lausanne from 1999 to 2000.
