Karthik Ramani has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Karthik is currently the Global Head of Data Architecture and Governance at Dr. Martens plc. Prior to this, they worked at News UK as the Head of Data Platforms, where they led the data platform ecosystem and business intelligence on the cloud for The Sun, The Times, and the Wireless groups. Karthik successfully completed a £2M Data Platform Transformation and Modernisation Program during their time there. Before that, Karthik worked at Financial Times as a BI Technical Lead, specializing in BI and data engineering for commercial business teams. Karthik also managed a global team of BI Developers and Data Engineers. Their earlier roles at Financial Times include Business Intelligence Developer and BI Analyst/Developer at University of Dundee. Karthik started their career as a Software Engineer at SAP Labs India and interned at SAP Business ByDesign.

Karthik Ramani has a strong educational background in the field of technology and business intelligence. Karthik obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) degree in Electronics & Instrumentation from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, which they pursued from 2003 to 2008.
