Zahoor Ul Islam

Zahoor ul Islam has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Zahoor started their career as a Visiting Faculty at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, where they taught for five years. Zahoor then worked as a Software Development Manager at Progressive Systems, a software development house, for four years. Following that, Zahoor served as the CTO of Avanza Solutions, a renowned software house in Pakistan, managing their software development team and portfolio for five years. Zahoor then joined Emitac as a Director Technology, where they revamped the IT application infrastructure and worked on strategic initiatives. Zahoor also worked for ABAN Investment as a Technology and Solution Excellence Manager. Zahoor then joined Ghobash Trading & Investment Co., where they served as the Group IT Manager, responsible for the IT operations and strategy of ABAN and Ghobash group companies. Afterward, Zahoor worked at Noor Bank for three years as a VP - Program Manager - IT Applications and Channels. Currently, they are employed at Dubai Islamic Bank as the VP - Head of Enterprise Architecture and Integration.

Zahoor ul Islam has a diverse education history. In 2021, they attended the London Business School and completed an Executive Education program focused on Innovation Through Design Thinking. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2021, they pursued a POST Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at The University of Texas at Austin. In 2019, Zahoor attended Hult International Business School for a course on Digital Disruption. Furthermore, they hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Software Engineering, which they obtained from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences between 1992 and 1997. Additionally, Zahoor has obtained several certifications, including Systems Thinking, Critical Thinking, Artificial Intelligence Foundations, and Enterprise Architecture Foundations, among others.
