Ravi R. Sharma

Ravi R. Sharma has a diverse work experience in the energy storage and renewable energy industry. Ravi R. currently holds the position of Director of Business Development - Energy Storage at Duke Energy Corporation since July 2022. Prior to this, from April 2021 to June 2022, they served as the Director of Energy Storage at Fractal Energy Storage Consultants.

Before joining Fractal Energy Storage Consultants, Ravi worked at Duke Energy Corporation as the Lead Market Strategy Analyst for Duke Energy Renewables from January 2019 to April 2021.

Their earlier work experience includes roles at Siemens, where they worked as a Sales & Marketing Specialist from July 2015 to January 2019. Prior to that, they served as a Design Engineer & Technical Project Lead from June 2011 to July 2015. Additionally, they were a Field Service Engineer at Siemens from June 2009 to June 2011.

Ravi also has experience as an Engineering Intern at Iowa State University in 2008, where they worked with small Iowa companies to incorporate engineering practices into their businesses. Ravi R. also served as a Research Assistant at Iowa State University from January 2008 to August 2008.

Before their time at Iowa State University, Ravi worked as a Software Development Co-op at Rockwell Collins in 2007 and as a Systems Engineering Co-op at Rockwell Collins from January 2006 to August 2006.

Ravi R. Sharma has an extensive education history. Ravi R. pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University from 2004 to 2009. During their undergraduate studies, Ravi also had the opportunity to study as an exchange student at the National University of Singapore in 2007, focusing on Mechanical Engineering.

Further, from 2012 to 2015, Ravi pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. After completing their master's degree, they went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, from 2018 to 2020.

Prior to their higher education, Ravi completed their high school education at Southwestern Educational Society.
