Andy Vesey

Andy Vesey has extensive work experience in the energy industry, holding various leadership roles in notable organizations. Andy is currently serving as the President and CEO of North America at Fortescue Future Industries since September 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director at Nikola Motor Company starting from October 2022. In the same year, they also worked as a Strategic Advisor and later became the President at Smart eMobility. In 2019, Andy co-founded Earthrise Energy and served as an Advisor. Andy was also the President and CEO, Board Member at Pacific Gas and Electric Company from August 2019 to July 2020. Before that, they worked as an Advisor and later became the CEO, Managing Director, and Board Member at AGL Energy, where they focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and providing affordable energy. From 2004 to 2015, Andy held various senior positions at The AES Corporation, including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Andy achieved significant cost savings, implemented new technologies, and spearheaded the sales of non-core assets. Prior to that, they worked as a Managing Director at FTI Consulting Inc. and as a Partner in the Energy, Chemical & Director National Transmission and Distributed Resources Practice at EY. In 1998, they served as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Citipower I Pty Ltd.

Andy Vesey has a Master's Degree from New York University. Andy also holds Bachelor's Degrees in B.A. Economics and B.S. Mechanical Engineering from Union College. Additionally, Andy has completed an Advanced Executive Management program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and an Advanced Management program at The Wharton School.
