Carla Tully has extensive work experience in the energy industry and related fields. Carla is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Earthrise Energy, a position they have held since June 2019. Carla is also a Board Member at CRES Forum starting from December 2019. Prior to this, they worked as an Advisor at Build Edison in 2018. From 2017 to 2019, they held the role of Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Renewable Energy at MAP Energy, LLC. Carla also served in various leadership roles at The AES Corporation, including President of AES UK & Ireland from November 2014 to June 2017. Carla was Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Investment from November 2012 to November 2014 and Chief of Staff for Global Utilities from October 2011 to November 2012. Additionally, they served as Chief of Staff for the Latin America & Africa Group from July 2010 to October 2011. Prior to that, Carla worked at the Inter American Development Bank, first as a Climate Change Coordinator from May 2009 to July 2010 and then as an Investment Officer from March 2005 to January 2010. Carla also has experience as Project Director at the Restructuring Office of The AES Corporation from April 2003 to March 2005, an Investment Officer at the Inter-American Development Bank from August 2002 to April 2003, and an Assistant Vice President of Structured Finance at ABB from June 2000 to August 2002. Carla started their career in politics, working as a Manager in the Office of Congressman Michael Pappas from January 1997 to July 1997 and as a Staff Assistant for the Committee on House Oversight from March 1995 to December 1996.

Carla Tully completed their education in a chronological order. Carla first attended the University of Southern California from an unknown start year and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Economics. Following this, Carla attended Columbia Business School and earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance by the year 2000. Concurrently, they also attended The Fletcher School at Tufts University and obtained a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MA) degree. Additionally, Carla completed their Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) with a specialization in Developmental Economics from The Fletcher School at Tufts University in 2000.
