Nick Rush

Systems Integration & Test Engineer at Echodyne

Nick Rush has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 2006, they served as an English Language Lecturer at Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III) for three years. In 2009, they transitioned to working as a Freelance Photographer through their own venture, Nick Rush Photography, for three years.

In 2009, Nick also began working at Cameratechs Inc as a Software Developer, where they designed and implemented paperless sales, invoicing, and repair tracking database software. Nick also redesigned the company's website. Nick stayed with the company for five years.

In 2015 and 2016, Nick gained experience in the manufacturing industry. Nick worked as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Exotic Metals Forming, assisting in the design of manufacturing and inspection tools. Nick then took on the role of Project Design Engineer at Exotic Metals Forming Co LLC, where they managed the fabrication of manufacturing tooling and assembly fixtures for the aerospace industry, introduced new product lines, and developed process documentation.

From 2019 to 2023, Nick worked at Amazon, primarily in hardware engineering roles. Nick started as a Support Engineer II - Prime Air and eventually became a Hardware Engineer, validating and testing hardware systems at Amazon Robotics. Nick also worked as a Systems Development Engineer I and Support Engineer III - Prime Air during their time at Amazon.

In 2018, Nick founded Meridian Design, where they assumed the role of Founder.

Most recently, they joined Echodyne in 2023 as a Systems Integration & Test Engineer.

Throughout their career, Nick has gained experience in various engineering fields, software development, photography, and education.

Nick Rush has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University, where they studied from 2014 to 2016. Before that, from 2012 to 2014, they attended Shoreline Community College and earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Engineering. Earlier in their academic career, from 2001 to 2004, they obtained a bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of Washington.
