Morassa Mohseni, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of biosciences. Currently, they serve as the Head of Business Operations & Product Applications at Encodia, Inc. Morassa joined the company in December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Pacific Biosciences as the Senior Director of Customer Solutions from September 2021 to December 2021.

From 2017 to 2021, Mohseni was associated with Omniome Inc., where they held several roles, including Senior Director of Customer Solutions, Core Team Lead of Commercial Product Launch, and Director of Scientific Collaborations and Applications.

Before joining Omniome Inc., they worked at BioCeryx as the Principal Scientist of Assay Development. Prior to that, they held the position of Department Head at Roche Sequencing Solutions from 2015 to 2017.

From 2012 to 2014, Mohseni worked at Ariosa Diagnostics, initially as a Scientist in R&D, then as a Senior Manager of R&D, and finally as the Director of Technical Services. Morassa was responsible for developing genomic assays and library designs for prenatal diagnostics.

Morassa'scareer in biosciences began at the United States Department of Defense, where they worked as a BCRP Research Fellow in Cancer Genetics from 2008 to 2011. Morassa also served as a Senior Research Associate at the University of Chicago, focusing on autoimmune disease genetics from 2003 to 2006.

Mohseni's early research experiences were as a Research Fellow at the University of California, Irvine - College of Medicine, where they worked on a NASA-sponsored project in pharmacology from 1999 to 2003.

Morassa Mohseni, PhD has a Ph.D in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Morassa also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from UC Irvine. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Certification in Medical Genetics (MG) from The Jackson Laboratory in 2006 and a New Product Development Professional (NPDP) certification from PDMA - Product Development and Management Association in September 2019.
