Amanda Watkins

Amanda Watkins has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Amanda currently works at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as the Web Content Department Head, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, Amanda served as a Web Content Intern at the same organization starting in September 2021.

Before joining the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Amanda worked at ESO as a Technical Support Analyst II. Amanda held this role from July 2021 until the present. Prior to that, they served as a Technical Support Analyst I at ESO from December 2019 to July 2021.

Amanda's previous experience includes working as a Support Technician at Digital Innovation from February 2017 to December 2019 and as a Website Optimization Specialist at Hunt Valley Jewelers from July 2019 to November 2019.

Amanda also has experience as a Front Office Manager at Jones Networking from August 2016 to February 2017. Additionally, Amanda worked as a Fitness Specialist at Maryland Athletic Club (MAC) from February 2015 to May 2016, where they created and monitored exercise programs, performed fitness evaluations, and provided a motivational environment for individuals to achieve their wellness goals.

Amanda gained internship experience at Church Nativity in the Technology Department from September 2015 to November 2015. Amanda also worked as a Bartender/Server at Applebee's and as a Hostess/Food Runner/Expiditor at Silver Spring Mining Co, where they focused on establishing and maintaining client relationships, providing quality service, and coordinating food and beverage delivery.

Furthermore, Amanda has experience as a Lifeguard at Virginia Wesleyan College from January 2006 to April 2007. Amanda'sresponsibilities included testing chemicals and ensuring the safety of participants using the facility.

Amanda Watkins completed their Associate of Applied Science (A.S.) in Computer Science-Information Systems Management at the Community College of Baltimore County from 2015 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended Towson University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a Minor in Psychology. Before attending Towson University, Amanda Watkins studied Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy at Virginia Wesleyan College from 2005 to 2007, although they did not obtain a degree in that field.
