Piet van Hove

Piet Van Hove has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Piet has served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Taith since 2023. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at the European Association for International Education (EAIE), including President from 2022 onwards and Vice President from 2020 to 2022. Piet also held positions at the University of Antwerp, where they were a Senior Policy Advisor for Internationalisation and the Head of the International Relations Office. Piet has been a Member of the Board at APOPO since 2008 and at Vlamingen in de Wereld from 2017 to 2020. Piet's experience also includes serving as the Chairman of the Board at Flanders Knowledge Area from 2012 to 2018 and as a Member of the Administrative Council at ACA - Academic Cooperation Association from 2016 to 2017. Piet was also a Member of the IRM Board and General Council at EAIE from 2007 to 2012. Earlier in their career, Piet worked as an Internal Auditor at KBC Bank & Verzekering and held various roles at UAntwerpen, including Legal Advisor and International Relations Officer.

Piet Van Hove obtained their Master's degree in Law from the University of Antwerp in 1995. In 2013, they pursued a program on Governing for Nonprofit Excellence at the Harvard Business School Executive Education. Prior to that, they attended the Institut Notre-Dame Du Sacré-Cœur, Beauraing from 1986 to 1988, and Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-van-Lourdescollege Edegem (OLVE) from 1982 to 1986. Piet also earned a second Master's degree in Law from the University of Antwerp, though the specific dates are unknown.
