Ruby Kandah

Ruby Kandah, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Ruby has recently joined FanDuel as the Vice President of Automation & Insights. Prior to this, they founded CloudX Consulting where they served as CEO, specializing in cloud migration projects for companies such as FanDuel, Spin, DoorDash, TaxJar, Fair, Wonolo, and Puls. Ruby has also worked at Salesforce as the Director of Product, Einstein Bots, where they managed multiple engineering scrum teams and played a key role in launching new features for Einstein Chatbots. Ruby has also held roles at DoorDash as the Director of Engineering, Business Applications and as a Solutions Architect, managing technical and architectural decisions and leading system releases. Earlier in their career, Ruby worked at NASA as a Senior Hardware Engineer, focusing on spacesuit design, and at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering as a PhD Research Assistant, conducting innovative research in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering. Ruby'scontributions in this role resulted in a granted patent from Harvard University.

Ruby Kandah, Ph.D. earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Harvard University and UMass Chan Medical School from 2011 to 2016. Ruby also holds additional certifications in Human Spaceflight and Mission Design from the Academy of Program/Project & Engineering Leadership (APPEL) at NASA, and Project Management at NASA from Kepner-Tregoe, obtained in February 2015.
