Christopher Nicholls

Christopher Nicholls has over 25 years of experience in the videogame industry. From 2018 to present, they have served as COO and Studio Head of First Contact Entertainment. From 2017 to 2018, they were an Executive Producer for Independent Consultant Videogame Production VR Software Development. From 2009 to 2017, they were Director of Product Development and Executive Producer for Disney Interactive, where they played an integral role in building relationships with AAA talent and studios. From 2006 to 2009, they were Animation and Cinematic Director for three successful PlayStation 3 titles at Insomniac Games. From 2004 to 2006, they were Executive Producer at Sony Pictures Imageworks, where they directed and produced an aspirational short-film to support a creative pitch. From 2002 to 2004, they were VP Business Development at Climax Studios and External Producer for Disney Interactive Studios. From 1999 to 2002, they were Global Head of Development at LEGO Media International. Finally, from 1994 to 1999, they were Audio/Media Producer at Electronic Arts (EA).

Christopher Nicholls completed a BA Creative Arts (hons) from The Manchester Metropolitan University in 1991, with a focus on Visual Arts, Music, Performance and Installation, and Critical Theory. Christopher then went on to earn an M.Sc in Computer Science from Birmingham University in 1993, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence.
