Our vision at the Food Safety Authority Ireland (FSAI) is safe and trustworthy food for everyone and our mission is protecting consumers by leading a collaborative food safety community to continuously raise food standards and create a culture of excellence.  We place consumers at the centre of all our activities.  Consumers have a fundamental right to safe food and also that they are not being misled about the food they are purchasing or eating.

The Technical and Safety team at the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) ensures the scientific and regulatory integrity of food safety measures. They manage food incidents, conduct risk assessments, oversee food reformulation, and uphold public health nutrition standards. This multidisciplinary team collaborates to maintain high food safety standards, prevent consumer misinformation, and respond effectively to food safety incidents and audits.
