Abram Pleta, Ph.D.

Abram Pleta, Ph.D. has a diverse range of work experience in various engineering roles. Their most recent position was as the Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Formlogic, where they utilized AI-based planning and autonomous production to improve precision parts manufacturing. Before that, they were the Lead Mechanical and Design Integration Engineer at Shift Robotics, where they played a key role in developing AI-powered shoes that allowed users to walk 250% faster. Abram also served as the Manager of Research and Development at Five Star Carbide Holding Company, where they oversaw R&D activities. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Co-Instructor at Clemson University, focusing on research and teaching responsibilities.
