Praveen Kolla

Praveen Kolla, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Development Scientist at Fortescue since August 2023. Prior to this role, Kolla was a Principal Scientist at SKYRE, Inc., focusing on materials innovation for electrochemical hydrogen separation and carbon-neutral chemical production from carbon dioxide. Kolla's experience includes a tenure as an Associate Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Associate at Northeastern University, where electrocatalyst development for CO2 conversion was a significant contribution, and research grant acquisitions totaling $800,000 were achieved. Earlier positions include Research Scientist I and Graduate Research Assistant roles at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, where Kolla developed innovative materials for batteries and fuel cells, and conducted research on metal phthalocyanines at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. Kolla holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering and Science from South Dakota Mines, a Master's degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics from Acharya Nagarjuna University.
