Katja Ivancic

Katja Ivancic has extensive work experience in the legal field. Katja is currently serving as the Global Head of Legal at Fresenius Kabi and holds the position of Senior Vice President. Before joining Fresenius Group in 2022, they worked at AstraZeneca from 2020 to 2022, where they held the role of Head of Legal for AstraZeneca Schweiz and also served as Senior Counsel for AstraZeneca Deutschland. Prior to their time at AstraZeneca, they worked at Bayer for a significant period. During their tenure at Bayer, they held various roles, including Senior Counsel for Pharma, Medical Technology, and Digital Innovation. In this position, they provided legal advice to multiple functions within Bayer's Global Pharma Business. Katja also played a crucial role in facilitating operations in the Digital Health Market, executing collaborations, and strengthening the Pharma Business through the development of digital companions, biomarkers, and disease platforms. Katja began their career as a Senior Associate in M&A at Clifford Chance in 2000.

Katja Ivancic obtained a Law Degree from the University of Münster in 1997. Prior to that, they completed a legal internship at Frühbeck Abogados in Madrid, Spain from 1997 to 1998. Katja also interned at the Ministry of Economy in Bremen, Germany in 1994. In 1998, Katja completed their State Exam at the Higher Court of Düsseldorf in Germany. Katja further expanded their legal knowledge through an internship at Hanson Bridgett Law Firm in San Francisco, USA in 1998 and 1999. Additionally, they have obtained a certification as a Certified Digital Legal Counsel from the Bundesverband der Unternehmensjuristen e.V. (BUJ).
