Hao Zheng

Hao Zheng has work experience spanning several companies and roles. In their most recent position at Frontier Medicines, which they started in May 2021, they serve as the Director and Head of Research Informatics. Before that, they worked at Genentech for 15 years, starting in 2006. During their time at Genentech, Hao held the role of Informatics Project Leader & Sr. Software Engineer. Hao led scientific application support teams, collaborated with project teams, and provided computational chemistry and data analysis support. Hao also chaired informatics user groups, managed databases, and facilitated data exchange with external collaborators. Prior to Genentech, Hao worked at Biogen Idec as a Sr. Consultant and at Kosan Bioscience, Inc as a Sr. Research Associate.

Hao Zheng's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from Nanjing University, which they obtained from 1991 to 1995. Hao then pursued further studies at the same university, earning a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from 1995 to 1998. Afterward, they attended Illinois State University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 2000 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Hao Zheng has also obtained several certifications in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. In July 2018, they completed the following courses: "Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Thinking Machines," "Building a Recommendation System with Python Machine Learning & AI," "Machine Learning & AI Foundations: Recommendations," and "Machine Learning & AI Foundations: Value Estimations" from LinkedIn.
