Rebecca Wayne has extensive work experience in various HR roles. Rebecca is currently the Head of People and Development at Genie Ventures since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Johnson Matthey as an HR Business Partner, where they collaborated with business leaders and HR leads to implement people plans aligned with the company's strategy. Rebecca also served as the People Services Lead - Clean Air Europe at Johnson Matthey. Before that, Rebecca was the Head of HR at Ofcom and the General Dental Council. Rebecca also worked as a Human Resources Manager at The Health Foundation, a Human Resources Officer at ST MARTIN OF TOURS HOUSING ASSOCIATION LIMITED, and a Personnel Officer at the Association of Colleges. Rebecca started their HR career as a Human Resources Assistant at Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Rebecca Wayne completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Communication and Media Studies from Westminster Kingsway College between 1997 and 1999. Rebecca then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Human Resources Management and Services from London Metropolitan University from 2003 to 2005. In 2016, Rebecca attended HCI to study Strategic Resource Planning, although no degree was specified for this program.
