Affan Zaheer

Affan Zaheer has over 30 years of work experience in the technology industry. Affan currently serves as the Sr. Director, Global Support Solutions at Gigamon, where they are responsible for leading the Global Support team and providing top-notch Technical Services for customers in the US, EMEA, and APAC regions. Affan has extensive experience working in startup-like environments and has successfully grown and managed the Technical Services team at Gigamon, establishing well-established processes and systems.

Prior to their role at Gigamon, Affan worked at Extreme Networks Inc. from 1999 to 2013. During their tenure, they held multiple positions, including Director, Premier Support and Service Solutions and Sr. Manager, Customer Support and Services. In these roles, they managed global teams, TAC centers, and a Professional Services Team, focusing on network design and deployment. Affan excelled in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through process re-engineering, SLA enforcement, and efficient cross-functional team leadership.

Before joining Extreme Networks Inc., Affan worked at companies like 3Com Corporation and Motorola Inc. as a Sr. Customer Support Engineer and ASIC Applications Engineer, respectively. Affan started their career at SMOS Systems as an ASIC Applications Engineer in 1991.

Throughout their career, Affan has consistently demonstrated their ability to provide excellent customer support, build relationships with clients, manage critical accounts, and drive successful outcomes for their organizations.

Affan Zaheer holds a Master of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Stony Brook University, which they obtained from 1990 to 1991. Affan also has a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stony Brook University. In addition to their educational background, Affan Zaheer has obtained a certification in Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn in November 2020.
