Seyedmehdi Shojaee (Nima)

Seyedmehdi (Nima) Shojaee has a diverse work history with experience in various research and data science roles. Seyedmehdi (Nima) began their career as a Researcher at the Pasteur Institute of Iran in 2005 and later moved on to becoming a Researcher at the National Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from 2006 to 2009. In 2009, they worked as a Research Scholar at the Karolinska Institutet before transitioning to a role as a Research Scholar/PhD candidate at the University of Southern California from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they joined UCSF as a Post Doctoral Research Associate from 2013 to 2016. Since then, Seyedmehdi has been working at GRAIL, Inc. with progressive roles such as Scientist from 2016 to 2018, Senior Data Scientist from 2018 to 2020, Group Lead, Data Science from 2020 to 2021, and currently as an Associate Director, Data Science starting in August 2021.

Seyedmehdi (Nima) Shojaee completed their Master's Degree in Human Genetics from the University of Tehran from 2006 to 2008. Seyedmehdi (Nima) then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Genetics at the University of Southern California, which they successfully completed from 2009 to 2013.
