Lizi Marsden has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Lizi started their career as an Investor in People Specialist at The Celltalk Group in 2000. Lizi then moved on to Iceland Foods as a Recruitment & Retention Advisor.

In 2002, Lizi joined Royal Bank of Scotland Business where they worked as an HR Training Specialist. Lizi'sresponsibilities included conducting training workshops, coaching individuals and teams, and coordinating internal and external development programs.

From 2007 to 2011, Lizi worked at Outsourcery as a Learning & Development Executive. Lizi established and operated a L&D Business Partner model, managed Microsoft competency achievement, and provided monthly updates on training progress to the board.

Following their time at Outsourcery, Lizi joined Community Gateway Association in 2011 as a Learning and Development Manager. Lizi was responsible for aligning the organization's learning and development function with corporate and HR strategy.

Currently, Lizi holds the position of Head of Organisational Development and Talent at Great Places Housing Group. In this role, they are accountable for multiple areas including OD, L&D, HR, and Transformation. Lizi has reinvigorated the OD and L&D services, developed leadership and management capabilities, and established an environment that supports organizational and people development.

Throughout their career, Lizi has demonstrated a commitment to learning and development, strategic planning, and driving organizational change. Lizi'sexpertise and experience make their a valuable asset to any organization they work with.

Lizi Marsden's education history includes earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management from The University of Manchester between 2020 and 2022. Prior to that, they completed a CIPD People Management & Development degree from CIPD flexible learning (MOL) from 2005 to 2007. In 2014, they obtained certifications from Saville Consulting in Test User: Occupational Ability (Level A) and Occupational Personality (Level B), and from opt2XL as a Certified Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), including Certified NLP Coaching. In the same year, they also acquired a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Occupational & Vocational Competence (TAQA) from Akuro and participated in the Charasmatic Leadership and Cultural Architect Programme offered by Audience with Charisma. Additionally, they completed First Aid Instructor Training from itg First Aid Instructor Training in 2014. In terms of further education, Lizi holds a Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) from Bury College, which they obtained in 2013.

Lizi'searlier academic background consists of a BA (hons) degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Central Lancashire, earned from 1998 to 2001. Lizi also completed their A Levels in Psychology, Communication Studies, and English Literature at Weatherhead High School from 1996 to 1998.

Looking ahead, Lizi Marsden has plans to pursue a Level 7 Award in Inclusive Leadership from InPD in 2023.
