M.eng Marc Pietrobon P.eng

Director, Corporate Sustainability at GWL Realty Advisors

Marc Pietrobon, M.Eng, P.Eng has a diverse work experience in various industries. Starting in 2015, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Array Marketing. In 2016, they joined CIBC as a Process Analyst in Process Engineering, where they worked until 2017. Marc then moved on to the University of Toronto Engineering Finance Association, where they served as VP Operations from 2015 to 2016. In 2018, they worked at the University of Toronto as a Teaching Assistant and also conducted an analysis on Power to Gas Energy Storage. From 2019 to 2020, Marc worked at WSP in Canada as an Energy Consultant, focusing on Sustainability and Energy. In 2020, they joined BGIS as a Senior Utility Specialist in Professional Services, staying there until 2022. Currently, Marc is the Director of Corporate Sustainability at GWL Realty Advisors, starting in October 2022.

Marc Pietrobon, M.Eng, P.Eng pursued their education in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto. From 2013 to 2018, they completed their Honors Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering. Later, from 2018 to 2019, they obtained their Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Marc has also acquired several certifications. In 2021, they became a Certified Retscreen Expert through the Canadian Institute for Energy Training (CIET). In 2022, they obtained their Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation from Professional Engineers Ontario. Most recently, in 2023, they achieved the status of Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers.
