Simon Hill

Simon Hill has extensive work experience in governance and corporate support services. Simon'smost recent role was as the Director of Governance and Corporate Support Services at Harlow Council since September 2021. Prior to that, they were the Head of Governance at Harlow District Council from December 2018 to September 2021. Simon also held various roles at Epping Forest District Council, including Service Director Governance & Members Services, Returning Officer and Electoral Registration Officer, Monitoring Officer, Assistant Director of Governance, Senior Democratic Services Officer, and Committee Officer. Simon began their career as an Armed Services and AIDS Secretariat Clerical Officer at the Medical Research Council, where they provided support for research related to AIDS and armed services. Simon also worked as a Clerical Assistant at DHSS.

Simon Hill attended Brays Grove School from 1978 to 1983, where they obtained a degree in Life, with a focus on General Studies. After completing their education at Brays Grove School, they went on to enroll at Harlow College from 1983 to 1985. At Harlow College, they studied Mathematics, further mathematics, and physics.
