Ron Vacek began their work experience in 1984 as a Materials and Process Engineer at Eastman Kodak. Ron was involved in successful plastic materials and polymer process development projects, leading to cost reduction efforts and improved quality. Ron also developed strong relationships with operations, resulting in more robust solutions. In 1988, they became a Project Manager at Eastman Kodak, managing key projects and programs for new equipment and medical product development. During this time, they obtained 10 US patents through their contributions in process, materials, design, and manufacturing. From 1991 to 2007, Ron served as a Unit Director at Eastman Kodak, managing both engineering and manufacturing resources. Ron was primarily involved in new product research, development, and commercialization, as well as the design, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing systems. In 2007, Ron joined Harper International Corporation as Director of Engineering. In this role, they managed a multi-functional engineering department and served as project manager for a fully integrated processing plant.

Ron Vacek earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering from the University at Buffalo, where they studied from 1980 to 1984. Following this, they pursued higher education at the University of Rochester - Simon Business School from 1987 to 1990, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Operations. In addition to their formal education, Ron Vacek obtained the ISO Internal Auditor certification from the University at Buffalo in August 2018.
