Matthew Engeln

Matthew Engeln has extensive work experience in the IT field. Matthew began their career as a Programmer/Analyst at Bullocks Department Stores in 1985. Matthew then moved on to May Department Stores as a Corporate Business Systems Analyst from 1992 to 1998. Engeln joined A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. as a Senior Systems Analyst from 1998 to 2000. Matthew worked at Gap Inc. from 2000 to 2006, starting as a Senior IT Manager and later becoming the Director of IT Corporate Financial Systems. Engeln then joined Visa as the Director of Applications Management from 2006 to 2008, where they managed global financial systems and led a team of project managers and business analysts. From 2008 to 2012, they worked at Gap Inc. again, serving as the Director of Enterprise Business Systems. Engeln then joined Rosetta Stone as the Senior Director of Enterprise Business Systems from 2012 to 2017. Most recently, they have been working at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute as the Senior Director of IT Services.

Matthew Engeln earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus in Business Administration and Management, General from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School. Matthew also obtained a Master's Degree in Master of Information Management (MIM) from the same institution. Prior to this, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management (BSM) from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. Matthew began their education with an Associate's Degree in Merchandising and Marketing from FIDM. Matthew Engeln completed their secondary education at Brea-Olinda High School.
