Darshan Gajara

Darshan Gajara has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Darshan is currently working as the Head of Design at Hygraph (previously GraphCMS), a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to this, they were a Senior Product Designer at the same company from June 2020 to July 2021.

Before joining Hygraph, Darshan founded and served as the Publisher of Product Disrupt, a curated online resource for learning product design. Darshan started this venture in January 2017 and continues to be involved with it.

In addition, Darshan has worked as a Program Partner for Design Fellowship at Coho since March 2022. In this role, they teach various design courses and provides coaching to designers.

Darshan also gained experience as a Product Designer focusing on growth opportunities at Contentful from December 2019 to March 2020. Unluckily, they were laid off due to a company reorganization. Prior to this, they worked as a freelance Product Design Consultant through their own company, darshan.design, from May 2012 to December 2019. During this time, they collaborated with various clients on diverse projects.

Other notable positions in Darshan's work history include Head of Design at Studysid from January 2018 to November 2019, Product Design Consultant at Sapaad Pte Ltd from June 2017 to April 2019, and Product Designer at Wishberry.in from April 2016 to January 2017.

Darshan's career began at BookMyShow, where they worked as a Visual Designer from June 2015 to April 2016. Darshan also founded a startup called Project X, which focused on IT and design services, from April 2015 to April 2016.

Darshan Gajara has a diverse education history. Darshan began their academic journey at Kalgidhar English Medium School, where they obtained their SSC. Following this, from 2009 to 2011, they attended S K Somaiya College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Vidyavihar, where they pursued a degree in Vocational Science with a focus on Computer Science. Later on, from 2011 to 2015, Darshan studied at K J Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering. Most recently, in 2021 and 2022, they joined On Deck as a Design Fellow, specializing in Design Management.
