Ciara Farrell

Ciara Farrell has a diverse work experience spanning various legal and compliance roles. Ciara is currently the Global Head of Legal Compliance & Ethics - Vice President at ICON plc since October 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Global Head of Legal Compliance & Ethics - Senior Director at ICON plc from March 2019 to November 2021. Before joining ICON plc, Ciara worked as an Associate in Life Sciences Law at Arthur Cox from February 2016 to February 2019. Ciara also gained experience in the Life Sciences Practice at Hogan Lovells from 2013 to 2016 and as a Legal Trainee at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP in 2013. Ciara started their career as an In-house Legal Consultant and Project Coordinator at Tipik Communication Agency from September 2010 to December 2012, where they focused on EU Directives and European Law codification. Ciara also completed a traineeship at the European Commission from March 2010 to August 2010. Prior to their legal career, Ciara worked as a Legal Secretary at O'Reilly Solicitors in Cootehill, Co Cavan for a brief period in 2006.

Ciara Farrell has a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from the University of Galway, which they obtained from 2003 to 2007. Ciara then pursued a Masters in Law from Trinity College Dublin from 2007 to 2008. In 2010, they obtained the degree of Attorney and Counselor at Law from The New York State Bar Association. Additionally, in the same year, they completed the Roll of Solicitors program at The Law Society of Ireland.
