Keun-Yong B.

Keun-Yong B. has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and semiconductor technology. Their most recent role was as a Lead Engineer at Coherent Corp. since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Sr. Process Integration Engineer at LG Display from May 2019 to November 2021. They also served as an Epitaxial Design Engineer at Duet Microelectronics LLC from January 2017 to May 2019 and as a Senior Process Engineer at Applied Materials from May 2014 to December 2016. Keun-Yong B. has a strong background in research and development, particularly in III-V epitaxial materials for various applications such as HBTs, pHEMTs, LEDs, VCSELs, lasers, and multijunction solar cells. They conducted research at MicroLink Devices, Inc. as a Sr. MOCVD scientist from May 2012 to April 2014, focusing on growth mechanisms, device characterization, process failure analysis, and optimization of MOCVD growth. Additionally, Keun-Yong B. worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Arizona State University from January 2011 to March 2012, specializing in MBE growth development and optimization of InAs quantum dots and dilute nitride materials for multijunction solar cells.

Keun-Yong B. obtained a Master's degree in Materials Science from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, where they studied from 2004 to 2006. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Arizona State University, completing their degree from 2006 to 2010.
