Mark Orsted

Mark Orsted has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Mark started their career in 1995 as a Management Analyst Programmer III at U of I Benefit Center, where they designed the Student Insurance Claims & Enrollment System. Later, they worked as a Software Developer at Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS). In 2008, they joined Radmakers Rock n Roll Tavern as a Booking & Promotions assistant and then moved on to become the CEO/Owner of Rock n Roll Cowboy Productions, where they booked shows for bars and helped bands get booked. In 2008, they also started working as a Network Administrator at Coherent Corp., responsible for ensuring the network runs smoothly. Mark then progressed to the role of Information Systems Manager, where they managed IT operations and led the development of in-house and outsourced products. Currently, Mark Orsted is working as a Principal Software Engineer at Coherent Corp.

Mark Orsted attended Champaign Centennial High School from 1983 to 1986, where they received their High School Diploma. During their time at high school, they focused their studies on Math and Computer Science.
