Praveen Gunturi

Praveen Gunturi has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Digital Signal Processing Lab Assistant and Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory Assistant at the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli. In 2010, they joined Open Silicon as a Design for Testability Engineer, where they were responsible for generating WGL Patterns and testing various components through PERL coding. In 2011, they became a Research Assistant at the University of Maine, where they contributed to the development of a Power Amplifier and an Adaptive UWB transmitter. Praveen also took on teaching assistant roles during their time at the university. In 2016, Praveen worked as an Intern Staff Engineer at Environetix Technologies Corporation, focusing on prototype device fabrication and testing. From 2017 onwards, they joined II-VI Incorporated, initially as a Test Engineer and then as a Process and Assembly Integration Engineer. In 2021, they were promoted to the role of Lead Product Engineer within the company. Most recently, they joined Coherent Corp. as a Principal Product Engineer in 2023.

Praveen Gunturi has a diverse educational background with degrees and certifications in various fields.

Praveen started their education journey in 2007 at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, where they obtained a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in VLSI Systems. This program lasted from 2007 to 2009.

After completing their M.Tech., Praveen pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maine. Praveen attended this program from 2011 to 2015.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills, Praveen completed a RFIC design course at UCLA Extension in January 2017.

Most recently, from 2018 to 2021, Praveen attended Lehigh University and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
