Nikhil Mohkhedkar has a diverse work experience that spans across multiple industries and roles. Nikhil is currently working at Coherent Corp., where they started in February 2022 as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer and later transitioned to the position of Team Lead in Manufacturing Engineering. Nikhil automated the heat sink assembly process of memory modules using collaborative robotics and programmed the capabilities of the UR5 cobot. Nikhil also conducted a study on the selection and interfacing of end-effectors.

Furthermore, Nikhil worked at Analog Devices as a Graduate Research Assistant, carrying out a simulation-based study on the thermal performance of flip-chip BGA packages. Nikhil constructed CAD models and performed finite element analysis to evaluate the effect of various design parameters and material properties on thermal performance.

During their time at Watson Institute for Systems Excellence, Binghamton University, Nikhil focused on making the university a preferred destination for international students. Nikhil collected enrollment data and performed comparative analysis to benchmark enrollment statistics with other universities. Nikhil also presented their findings and conclusions to the university's President and Provost on a monthly basis.

Before their graduate studies, Nikhil gained practical experience as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. Nikhil executed projects related to process improvement and automation, including reducing changeover time, developing inspection gauges, and implementing automation for sheet loading and unloading operations.

Nikhil Mohkhedkar completed their education at Binghamton University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trusts College of Engineering, Nigdi, Pune 44, graduating in the period from 2014 to 2018.

In addition to their degrees, Nikhil also obtained several certifications during their time at Binghamton University.
