Jesús Del Toro has had a long and varied career in media. Jesús began in 1993 as an editorialist for La Jornada newspaper in Mexico. Jesús then became the editor of the supplements Virtualia and World Media. In 1998, they founded and was the deputy director of Metacom, publisher of Cibersivo and Ciberoamérica. Jesús was the Editorial Director of both Cibersivo and Ciberoamérica. In 2002, they joined Meximerica Media as the Managing Editor and Page One Editor of RUMBO newspapers. From 2007 to 2014, they were the Director General and General Manager of ImpreMedia, and also the Editorial Director and Editor in Chief of La Raza (Chicago), La Opinión de la Bahía (San Francisco), La Prensa (Orlando) and Rumbo (Houston). In 2013, they founded Del Toro Creative Studio and was the CEO and Founder. Jesús also worked for Yahoo! as a Pro Blogger, writing articles and columns about USA issues relevant to Hispanic US audiences and Latin American audiences. In December 2016, they became the Director General and General Manager of La Raza Newspaper in Chicago, and has been the Editor in Chief since mid 2011.
Jesús Del Toro has a PhD in Journalism/Periodismo from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a Bachelor's/Licenciatura in Communications/Comunicación from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México, a Fellow from the NEA Institute in Classical Music and Opera at Columbia University J-School, and a High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from INHUMYC.
