Pius Illah

Pius Illah is a highly experienced professional in the fields of innovation, partnerships, and entrepreneurship, currently serving as a Presidential Fellow at Guilford College since August 2023. As an Industry Officer with Industry Immersion Africa since February 2022 and the Head of Innovation and Partnerships at the Machine Intelligence Institute of Africa (MIIA) since March 2020, Pius Illah is committed to advancing Africa's AI landscape. Previous roles include serving as a Community Liaison Officer at The LaunchLab, where focus was placed on fostering startup ecosystems and entrepreneurship, and as a Programmes and Project Manager at Metamorphic Adventures, overseeing development programs in South African schools. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Economics and International Development and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, both obtained from the University of Jos between 2009 and 2013.
