Head of Product at Inventa

Fernando Avelar has held a variety of roles in the product and marketing fields over the past decade. In 2010, they began their career at Procter & Gamble as a Product Marketing Manager for Ariel, Ace, and Always, where they led teams to create winning products, designed marketing strategies, and executed high ROI initiatives. Fernando also served as a Finance Analyst during their time at Procter & Gamble. In 2015, they moved to 3 Corações S/A, where they were a Brand Manager. In 2017, they joined Founder Institute as a Product Marketing Consultant/Founder Acceleration, and also became CEO and Head of Business Development at Dato. In 2018, they joined Conta Azul as a Product Manager and Product Owner. From 2019-2021, they served as Director of Product & Marketing, Head of e-Commerce, and Product Team Manager at Z-Tech Brasil, part of AB Inbev. Lastly, they were Head of Product for both Restaurants and New Ventures (Restaurants) at iFood from 2021-2023. In 2023, they moved to Inventa, where they are currently the Head of Product.

Fernando Avelar has an education history that spans from 2006 to the present. In 2006, they graduated from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. From 2014 to 2015, they attended the University of Strathclyde and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus in Business Administration and Management, General. In 2018, they started attending Tera and is currently pursuing a Digital Product Leadership degree. Additionally, they have two certifications: an Official Scrum Master from Scrum Inc. obtained in 2020, and a PSPO | Professional Scrum Product Owner from Scrum.org obtained in 2018.
