Emily Westheimer

Emily Westheimer has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles in healthcare and research organizations. Emily is currently working at Invitae as the Head of Oncology Lab Services, where they manage laboratory biopharma work projects and leads a team of Project Managers. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate Director, Oncology Lab Services and as a Clinical Project Manager, Oncology at Invitae. Emily has also worked as a Consultant for COVID Response, Epidemiology, and Data Unit at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In addition, they have experience as a Senior Manager, Clinical Data at Flatiron Health, where they led a team responsible for real-world data oncology research datasets. Previously, they held positions at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, including Director of Surveillance Operations and City Research Scientist. Emily's earlier career includes roles at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine as a Manager of Research and Clinical Trials and at Gynuity Health Projects as a Program Research Coordinator. Emily started their career as a Volunteer in the United States Peace Corps.

Emily Westheimer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Brown University in the years 1993 to 1997. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, which they completed from 2001 to 2003.
