Jungsang Kim

Jungsang Kim is the Co-Founder and CTO of IonQ. Jungsang was previously the Founder, President, and CEO of Applied Quantum Technologies from August 2006 to February 2020. Prior to that, they were with Duke University and Lucent Technologies / Bell Labs from January 1999 to December 2004, where they served as MTS/Technical Manager.

Jungsang Kim received their Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford University and their B.S. in Physics from Seoul National University. Jungsang also attended Young Dong High School.

Jungsang Kim reports to Peter Chapman, President & CEO.
