Martin Malek

Martin Malek has over 18 years of work experience. Martin started their career in 2003 with Anoto as a Bachelor Thesis. In 2005, they completed their Master Thesis with TAT, the Astonishing Tribe. From 2005 to 2011, they worked at Scalado in various roles, such as Software Engineer, Product Specialist, Technical Product Manager, and Product Manager. In 2011, they joined Qubulus as VP Development, where they created products for cloud based indoor positioning and built tools for visualizing user mobility patterns. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at Zaplox AB as a Full Stack Software Engineer, building the mobile key distribution platform using RoR, Android and Java. From 2014 to 2015, they worked at Softhouse as a Consultant, Mobile Application Architect, Full Stack Developer, and Project & Team Lead. From 2015 to 2022, they worked at Falcon.io in various roles, such as Group Product Manager, Platform Products & Data Science, Director of Engineering, and VP of Engineering. In 2022, they joined Klarna as an Engineering Director, CMO Teams, leading the CMO Teams engineering competence covering 80+ engineers and 12 engineering managers. Finally, in 2023, they joined Issuu as VP of Engineering.

Martin Malek completed a B.Sc.C.S (Hons) in Image Processing from Malmö University between 1999 and 2003. Martin then went on to pursue a M.Sc.C.S in Computer Graphics from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University between 2003 and 2006. In 2009, they obtained a Certified Scrum Master certification from Softhouse.
